Fillings and Cosmetic Fillings:

Decayed part of the tooth is removed and the space created is filled with amalgam(metal) or composites/GIC (white fillings) or porcelain or gold. The face of the tooth that is visible when smiling can be covered with composites or porcelain to enhance the appearance of the tooth.

Crowns and Bridges:

A broken down or weakened tooth is shaped to be fitted/cemented with an artificial tooth (usually made of porcelain). A bridge is basically two crowns connected together by a third artificial tooth which replaces a missing tooth.

Implants:

A missing tooth is replaced with a metal root surgically placed into the jaw bone which is then built up to an artificial tooth or used as attachment for a bridge or denture.

Root Canal Therapy:

When a tooth deteriorate the hollow inside center part of the tooth is cleaned out and filled all the way down the root of the tooth as well.

Dentures:

When all natural teeth are lost, a full denture usually made out of plastics can be made to be worn. When there are some natural teeth remaining then a partial denture (metal framed or plastic) can be made to be worn. These can be combined with crowns and implants.
